Rally Team

John is one of the founding members of the Rally Kings® Rally Team. He started racing rallycross in 2012 and quickly built a stage rally car soon after. He is the 2014 South West RallyCup and California Rally Series Open champion. Unfortunately, John and Chris had an off at the 2015 Gorman Ridge Rally which burned down the car. John is currently rebuilding a new chassis.

Santiago Caballero was introduced to rally cross in 2012. He quickly upgraded from his 1989 Subaru XT to a turbocharged Impreza Outback Sport (GF8) to compete with the best drivers in Modified All Wheel Drive. He has taken the 2015 Southern Division Championship and earned 2nd place in the 2015 season. Santiago has plans to build a 2005 Subaru STI for stage rally and promote the Rally Kings® team.

Richard is an integral part of the Rally Team. He is our crew chief and master mechanic. Richard was racing a 2-Door Impreza at rallycross but is currently rebuilding it with JDM goodies. Richard supports the team at rallycrosses and attends as many stage rallies as possible. Richard knows everything Subaru.

Jason is a prime example of the rally saying, “Press On Regardless”. Jason has rolled twice at the Mendocino Rally 2014 and 2015. His ‘offs’ did not stop him from rallying. He has since rebuilt a new chassis for the 2016 season and is currently in the lead at the Pacific Rally Cup and California Rally Series.

Cameron has been competing in the Glen Helen RallyCross series for over 5 years. He had the longest streak of not missing any races but sadly missed 2 this year due to relocating to Santa Cruz. He took home the modified AWD championship trophy in 2015 but that’s not enough for him, Cameron is also Jason Copt’s co-driver and enjoys every second of it.

Devin has only rallycrossed one time but he likes going fast. He has been into rally for 7 years and was finally introduced to the motorsport by fellow teammate, Jason Copt. He likes to work on cars and enjoys eating hot dogs. Devin has been instrumental to the team by traveling and servicing our rally cars.

With over ten years Subaru experience as a factory trained automotive technician, Andy discovered his passion for rally via participation (as a driver) at local rallycross events. He capitalized on the opportunity to co-drive in stage rally and has proven successful with several talented drivers.

Chris has been with us since the beginning as RallyX support and soon after, co-driver for John Trucks. Both were named Rookie team of the year in 2013 and then became the Pacific Rally Cup champions the year after. Chris is now racing in mod AWD and will continue to co-drive for John Trucks.

Mathew is our very talented web developer and photographer. He has been rallycrossing for 4 years and is the 2014 stock AWD champion in the SCCA CalClub Glen Helen rallyx series. He volunteers as media for the South West events. Mathew will be caging his WRX wagon in the near future.

Daryl has been on the Rally Kings® Rally Team for several years. He has taken the prepared AWD championship trophy home 2 years in a row. Daryl retired his STi and is now racing in modified AWD in a 2-door Impreza Brighton. His GM6 is caged and currently being prepared for the stages.

David joined the RallyKings alongside Daryl a few years back. David got a podium finish in 2013 for prepared AWD at the SCCA CalClub Glen Helen series. David has since moved to Tennessee but has been supporting the team ever since.
